Real Estate sales down year-to-year

Residential home sales in Greater Vancouver were up slightly last month from August, but down significantly from the same time last year.
Numbers released today by the Real Estate Board show more than 22-hundred sales were recorded, up nearly one per cent from the previous month, but down nearly 38 per cent from September of 2009.
The average price of a home is now slightly more than 577-thousand dollars, nearly 30-thousand more than the same time last year.
Board stats also show it now takes about 56 days to sell a property.
